For over 50 years, our family-run motel has been East Durham’s best-kept secret. Now, as we enter our 51st year, we’re proud to be recognized as a favorite destination for visitors seeking Irish hospitality and a relaxing getaway.
This year, owners Colleen McGrath Fenlon and her husband Dermot are honored to be the Grand Marshals of the East Durham Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, a reflection of their deep ties to the community. Together with their daughters and son-in-law, they continue to provide the same warm welcome that has kept guests coming back for decades.
At McGrath’s, you’ll enjoy homemade Irish soda bread baked fresh daily, farm-to-table breakfasts, and home-cooked dinners in our updated restaurant and Irish pub. We also host live music, including our Fenian Rebel Fest and cover bands like ABBA’s Dancing Dream, as well as fun events like the Tractor Run and Honda 50.
